My son attended a summer camp at Umstead Park in Raleigh. Compared to other outdoor camps, my son said this one taught them more and took them on shorter walks. He missed the first few days of a week-long camp due to an illness (unrelated to camp), so I think he would have enjoyed it more if he had felt better - and had had more time to bond with the counselors and campers.I really appreciated the focus on nature conservancy.Their hours are 9a-3p, with extended care until 5:30 pm for an additional $35 fee. They offered $10 off for early registration, and a $25 discount if you become a member of Piedmont Wildlife Center. I took advantage of both.
