Creative Music Performance (CMP)
Students who participate will learn the fundamentals of playing and performing music in a group setting, recording in a studio, online marketing, and preparing for a release party. The program culminates in a concert at a local music venue, with local bands, and with the proceeds going to Table.
For our upcoming summer sessions, the camp will take place at Nightsound Studio (116 C West Main St., Carrboro, NC 27510). The camp will be held from 9 AM - 2 PM, Monday through Friday, with a performance on Saturday. The first session takes place from June 12th-16th, with the performance on June 17th taking place at The Station in Carrboro (201 East Main Street). The second session will be held from August 21st-25th, with the performance almost certainly taking place at Local 506 on August 27th (I'm awaiting final confirmation).
